Math 10C
Math 10C is the first math course most students will take in high school, establishing the foundational skills that will be crucial to their future success. As Math 10C moves very fast (most schools finish this course in only half a school year), it is very important to be well-prepared and familiar with the Math 10C curriculum. Students within this course will establish foundational elements such as linear algebra and trigonometry that will later develop into more complex topics in later years.
The requirements to register for our Math 10C class are the following: access to a physical TI-83 Plus, TI-84 Plus, or TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator, and a basic understanding of math algebra (able to solve one-variable equations).
Below are some of the key curricular outcomes that you will meet in our classes.
Curricular outcomes
- Using trigonometric ratios to solve problems involving right triangles
- Factoring and expanding trinomials and binomials
- Determining the domain and range of a given function
- Using various methods to solve systems of equations
